How AppDev – by The Adept AS handles the information you submit.

Who receives your information?

The Adept AS is responsible for enquiries sent to AppDev. Christian H. Sivertsen follows up on contact requests. You can use the contact form for privacy questions or to request access, correction or deletion.

When you use the contact form

We store your name, email address, phone number, optional company name, selected service, message and submission time. The page language, path and any campaign fields (utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign) are included to identify the page the enquiry came from. Please do not send sensitive personal information.

Why we use the information

We use these details to reply to your enquiry and explore a potential collaboration. Submitting the contact form does not subscribe you to marketing. We process your request and any steps taken before an agreement.

Storage and access

Enquiries are stored in Google Firebase / Cloud Firestore in europe-west1 (Belgium). Visitors can submit an enquiry but cannot read, change or delete submitted enquiries. Access is managed through project administration. Information is retained while the enquiry or any client relationship is followed up, and deleted when no longer needed unless a legal retention requirement applies.

Analytics and cookies

If you accept analytics, we use Google Analytics in our Firebase project to measure page views and successful contact and newsletter form submissions. Google receives visit and device information, the page address without query parameters, the referring domain and any campaign fields. We do not send names, email addresses, phone numbers or the contents of your forms to Analytics. Analytics does not load before you consent. Your choice is stored in appdev_analytics for 180 days. With consent, Analytics may store _ga and _ga_* for up to 180 days. Ad personalisation and Google Signals are disabled. You can reject or withdraw consent using “Privacy choices” at the bottom of the page; this stops further analytics and removes the Analytics cookies we can access. The forms work either way. Analytics data is processed by Google and may be processed outside the EEA. More information is available in Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Your rights

You can request access, correction and deletion of your information, or raise questions about its processing, through the contact form. You may also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).

Email newsletter

When you sign up, we store your email address, language, source guide, the consent wording and version, and the submission time. We use these details to send app advice, new guides and relevant offers from AppDev / The Adept AS, based on your consent. Signups are stored in Google Firebase / Cloud Firestore in europe-west1 (Belgium), with administrative access. The address is not confirmed through a verification email at signup. We retain the information while you wish to be on the list and remove you from the mailing list when you unsubscribe. You can withdraw consent or request deletion by emailing appdev@adept.as or using the contact form.

Cookie remembering your signup

After a successful signup, we store appdev_newsletter in your browser for up to one year. It contains only the value 1, not your email address, and prevents the signup prompt from appearing on other guides or in the other language. It is not used for tracking or advertising. It applies to this browser on this domain. You can remove it in your browser settings; doing so does not unsubscribe you from the email list.
